The Wake 04:50
It was a hover A thing to lead me Into an embryonic night I said it’s over And none believed me Well, I don’t care, I do not mind It was a hover A thing to lead me Into an embryonic night I said it’s over And none believed me Oh, I don’t care, I do not fucking mind The wake will shake the night There is no place to hide The wake will shake the night There is no place, no It was an honor To lay and bleed here Among the silly and the blind I said it’s over And none believed me Well, I don’t care, I do not mind It was an honor To lay and bleed here Among the silly and the blind I said it’s over And none believed me Oh, fuck what happens in their minds It’s never ending A story to go on I’m not pretending It happens on and on It’s never ending A story to go on I’m not pretending It happens, oh Farewell to all that's gone It’s carried to a pyre And I keep moving on With no wish to look back The wake is yet to come I’m leaving this empire To build another one I’m staying on my track Farewell, the wake is yet to come Farewell, the wake is yet to come I know the wake is yet come Farewell, the wake is yet to come

about

Living in society we deal with situations and people that may irritate us. And sometimes the only way to avoid an emotional breakdown is to break from things we’re sick and tired of. «The Wake» is an uplifting soundtrack to moments when we leave such things behind to change our lives to better.

Stylistically, the song may be described as a blend of synthwave and metal.

«The Wake» is a second single from an upcoming full-length album by Synthapex set to be released in the early fall of 2020.
